Welcome Back Lydia!

Lydia (Winnie) returns to Nova on Monday, January 14 to resume her role on the teaching staff! We are very grateful to all those who gave donations through the Go-Fund-Me site to facilitate her return by contributing to the fund for teacher salaries. The Go-Fund-Me campaign will remain open to further fund teacher salaries to compensate for the loss of staff earlier this year.

Winter Coat Drive (because it's cold)
The Nova student POC committee is holding a winter coat drive for the Peace in the Streets by Kids from the Street center for homeless teens. PSKS is one of our local teen shelter and resource centers. Did you know that about 10% of Garfield and Nova students experience housing and food insecurity? Drive ends JAN 29. Outerwear may be dropped off in the bins next to the Nova front office. Cold folks thank you.

Introducing the NEW FoN WEBSITE
Nova volunteers have been working with staff and students tirelessly to bring our FoN website and SPS Nova site into the present day. The FoN site is live. SPS updates are planned for next week. CHECK. IT. OUT. Friendly navigation, tons of resources, current calendar, testimonials, past newsletters, and much, more! Steer your peeps to the site if they want to begin exploring Nova.
